J2534 Programming: Work with the SmartLink C V2.0 as a J2534-compliant VCI to perform J2534 programming on supported vehicles. Download OEM software and install J2534 files from the LAUNCH official website through a PC or LAUNCH X431 PRO3S+ SmartLink C diagnostic tool.

J2534 Programming Tasks: Operate OEM programming without OEM tools; program blank ECUs when replacing ECUs; write data to refresh used ECUs; repair missing ECU information; upgrade ECU software versions.

4. What Are the Limitations?

Vehicle-Specific Functions: Active tests, maintenance functions, coding functions, special functions, and other functions vary by vehicle model and year. Some listed functions are not available for specific vehicle models.

ADAS Activation: ADAS calibration software is disabled by default. The ADAS function must be activated using an ADAS Activation Card before use.

X-PROG 3 Compatibility: Vehicles that require a clone key are not compatible with the X-PROG 3 accessory.

Commercial Vehicle ECU Flash: Requires purchasing an ECU flash license and activating the function.

24V Truck Testing: Testing 24V trucks requires an additional HDIII Heavy Duty module.

The SmartLink C HD does not work with Pro5/PAD V/PAD VII (they work with extra HD kit)

5. Does It Require Other Devices or Authorization?

SmartLink C V2.0: Included in the package and used for J2534 programming, CAN FD, DoIP, and commercial vehicle diagnostic functions.

HDIII Heavy-Duty Module: Used to test 24V trucks and expand passenger vehicle diagnostic tools into commercial vehicle diagnostic tools.

ADAS Activation Card: Required to activate the ADAS function before performing ADAS calibration.

ECU Flash License: Required to activate the commercial vehicle ECU flash function.

X-PROG 3: Provides advanced immobilizer and key programming for V.A.G Group vehicles above 3.5. Vehicles requiring a clone key are not compatible.

X431 VSP-600 Videoscope: Used to inspect hidden and narrow parts of the engine, fuel tank, brake system, and other areas.
