The new XM38 Toyota smart key add key and all keys lost function requires data collection and calculation. With this adapter, you can use VVDI Key Tool Plus to connect to the internet for data processing and key generation.
This function requires collecting data from the vehicle ECU. The original OBD 8A adapter cannot support this process, so this new Xhorse 8A smart adapter is required.

The Xhorse XDBASK Toyota 8A Smart Key Adapter is divided into two parts: a transfer adapter and cables. The smart authentication unit 89990 on newer Toyota vehicles has two connector types, so the adapter includes TOY-C1 and TOY-C2 connectors. Compared with the vehicle immobilizer box (ID code box), the smart authentication unit is easier to locate and operate, making key addition simpler without complex disassembly.
