4. Please Note the Following Limitations
- Only applicable to motorcycles, not compatible with passenger cars, trucks, ATV, UTV, snowmobile and marine watercraft;
- Cannot support motorcycles without standard OBD-II 16-pin port, extra dedicated adapter needs separate purchase if vehicle uses non-uniform DLC;
- Does not support advanced functions including ECU cloning, key programming, odometer correction; only basic diagnosis & maintenance resets available;
- Aftermarket modified racing ECUs and third-party refitted anti-theft systems are not recognizable;
- Active test function coverage differs by motorcycle brand, some models lack partial actuator test items;
- All diagnostic software access will be locked if annual update subscription expires without renewal.
5. Hardware Accessories & Licensing Requirements
- All basic diagnostic and maintenance reset functions are pre-unlocked after device activation, no one-time extra authorization fee needed;
- Non-OBD motorcycle brand adapters are not included in standard package and must be bought separately;
- Only Bluetooth 5.0 connection between scanner and mobile phone is required, no extra wired cable for daily diagnosis;
- Mobile phone needs to install official TOPDON diagnostic APP, register personal account and bind scanner SN for normal use.

How to Activate the Software
Step 1: Plug the TopScan Moto into the DLC (Data Link Connector) of your motorcycle.
Note: lf the DLC of your motorcycle is not an OBD-ll port,an adapter is required (not included) to connect the TopScan Moto to your motorcycle.
Step 2: Start vehicle engine.
Step 3: Make sure the LED light on the device is solid red and search for Bluetooth. Once connected, the LED light on the device will turn solid blue.
7. Software Update
- Comes with 1 full year free official motorcycle database & APP function updates after device binding activation;
- After free update period expires, annual subscription renewal fee is $99.99 per year;
- If subscription is not renewed, all diagnostic software access will be locked and cannot read vehicle data;
- New motorcycle brand models and system data are released monthly during free update cycle.
8. Global Version
This is global universal unlocked version without regional lock, preloaded with 17 multi-language packs, available for motorcycle users and technicians in all countries worldwide.
9. Warranty
The main scanner hardware enjoys 1-year official limited warranty from purchase date. Free replacement for non-artificial manufacturing defects such as Bluetooth connection failure. Damage caused by falling, water ingress, wrong power supply and unauthorized disassembly is not covered by warranty.
